A Bright Future
Building on Legacy: The Next Chapter of Conservation
As we look toward the future, the Jackson Hole One Fly Foundation stands at an exciting crossroads. While our annual event remains the cornerstone of our work, we envision expanding our impact and reach to meet the growing challenges facing cold-water fisheries.

Expanding Beyond the Event
For nearly four decades, our passionate participants have been the primary drivers of our conservation funding. Moving forward, we’re working to broaden our supporter base to include:
- Conservation-minded anglers who may not participate in the event but share our values
- Environmental organizations seeking partnership opportunities
- Corporate sponsors committed to watershed protection
- Foundations and donors focused on habitat preservation

Next-Generation Engagement
The challenges facing our fisheries require fresh perspectives and new energy. We’re developing programs to engage:
- Young anglers through educational initiatives and mentorship programs
- Local communities in watershed stewardship
- Scientific researchers studying climate impacts on cold-water systems
- Digital audiences through enhanced storytelling and virtual engagement

Evolving Conservation Strategies
As environmental challenges intensify, our approach continues to evolve:
Climate Adaptation: Supporting projects that help fisheries adapt to changing conditions
Science-Based Solutions: Funding research that informs effective conservation strategies
Collaborative Partnerships: Working with agencies, nonprofits, and private landowners for landscape-scale impact
Long-term Thinking: Building an endowment to ensure perpetual funding for critical projects
The Next Five Decades
As our Chairman Greg Case notes: “Without question, the next five decades of the One Fly will be more important than the last five.” Growing pressure on cold-water resources from recreational use, agricultural demands, and environmental challenges means our work is more critical than ever.
Our vision for the future includes:
- Doubling our annual conservation funding through expanded supporter engagement
- Creating an endowment to ensure perpetual support for critical projects
- Developing regional chapters to expand our geographic impact
- Building youth programs to cultivate the next generation of conservation leaders

Help Us Move Forward
We remain committed to honoring the traditions that have made the One Fly special while adapting to meet tomorrow’s challenges. Every project we fund, every partnership we build, and every young angler we inspire moves us closer to ensuring that future generations will experience the same pristine waters and abundant fisheries that have defined Jackson Hole for generations.
