Rainey Creek historically was one of the most productive spawning and rearing tributaries for native Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout on the South Fork of the Snake River.  HFF proposes to restore natural stream function and remove a major fish migration barrier that would improve upstream access for YCT to over 10 miles of suitable spawning and rearing habitat.  HFF plans to remove a culvert that is impassable during higher flows with either a bottomless culvert or a bridge that will accommodate higher level flows and reduce erosion of Rainey Creek habitat.
